Top 5 | Design Magazines

There is just something so special about a glossy image in a magazine that make your heart skip a beat. I love buying a new magazine and saving it for when I have time to give it all of my attention.

Wether it be outside in the garden or in bed on a Sunday morning, my monthly magazine haul is the only time i really give myself to switch off from everything and everyone (how refreshing is just turning your phone off for a few hours once in a while?!)

The room I used to sleep in when visiting my granny and pop as a child had a bookshelf full of country style magazines, they we’re so neatly lined up in date order from the very first issue and I used to love sitting on the floor and reading them cover to cover. I have definitely inherited my granny’s love for home making and classic style. we still love to read country style and drink earl grey tea together whenever I’m visiting the Mornington Peninsula.

Carrie Bradshaw famously said in SATC “When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke, sometimes I bought Vogue instead of dinner. I found it fed me more.” lets just say, I can relate, and if you’re reading this I’m sure you can too.

I hope you enjoy these reads as much as I do. (my favourite news agency in Perth is the one in crossways at Subiaco, I find it has the best selection I have come across so far. if you are Melbourne based - no trip to this great city is complete without a trip to Mag nation)

Enjoy, L x
